Join this half day afternoon Cairns rafting tour and enjoy up to 2 hours rafting along the Barron River. Great for people who are short on time, you will experience the beautiful surrounds of the Barron Gorge as you raft down grade 2-3 white water rapids.   Your raft comfortably takes 7 people plus a guide; many of your fellow white water river rafters are first timers so no experience is necessary. You will get a bit wet, but this is a great fun activity that is fun for the whole family! The minimum age to do this tour is 12 years.

Rates are valid until 31st March 2026 and include the $30pp levy that is payable on the day of travel.  Minimum age is 12 years.  Some medical conditions may prevent you from participating in rafting activities.

What to bring:

Swimwear, towel, change of dry clothes, secure footwear such as sandshoes or adventure sandals (no thongs), waterproof sunscreen, cap to wear under helmet (optional). Hire shoes available for $5 if you don’t want your shoes getting wet.

48 Hour Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received within 48 hours prior to departure and no shows are subject to 100% cancellation fee.  Cancellations received with greater than 48 hours notice are entitled to a full refund or travel credit.

Travel further into the Barron River Gorge to our start point and get fitted with rafting gear.

Meet your River Guide who will give you a safety briefing and paddling instructions before it’s time to hit the water!

  • 15.00 – 17.00

Raft down the Barron River conquering awesome grade 2 & 3 rapids!

  • 17.00 – 17.30

Arrive at the take-out point and change into dry clothes, and then get transferred back to your hotel.
